Drawing inspiration from images that stand out from a composition, Tokyo-based artist Noritake specializes in line drawings of different subjects that may or may not have any obvious relationship to one another, but altogether form a sort of vision in a dreamlike state, of a release from the waking world where images flash by you like a slideshow, not connected to each other, but in a way, still are. Viewed individually, his drawings each hold a quality of stillness, like a moment in between repose and movement, that liminal state that holds a suggestion of motion, and the subject is frozen in the moment of transition.
